Ahead of the September 21st, Governorship election in Edo State, a non governmental organization championing the cause of Women and the girl Child have held a training session for Women in Evbotubu community, enlightening them on the need to participate in the election process and chose to vote for Candidate whose agenda represents the needs and aspirations of Women in the state.
Speaking during the session, Commissioner for Digital Economy, Science and Technology, Hon Ogbede Ifaluyi-Isibor commended the Women for taking time out of their busy schedule to attend the training.
He admonished the Women that Edo State can not retrogress, that to sustain what Governor Obaseki has achieved in the past seven and half years, the right thing to do is to vote for the People Democratic Party Candidate, Asue Ighodalo in the forthcoming Governorship election.
Hon Ifaluyi-Isibor noted that in all the Governorship Candidates , Asue Ighodalo stands out with proven capacity to consolidate on the development in the state.
The Esan West LGA Cordinator for Questher’s Tribe, Ms Vivian Eguase and the Cordinator for Egor LGA, Mercy Oshodin take their turns to express their profound gratitude to the Women of Evbotubu community who participated in the training session.
They charged the Women to ensure they come out enmass and vote for Asue Ighodalo as he remains the very best out of all the Candidates.
They said Asue will bring succor to Women and the girl Child if elected as Governor in the State.
They however assured the Women, that when Asue becomes the Governor , that their organization will work with him very closely to ensure the needs of the ordinary Edo Women are met.
