The Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, has called on Christians within the sports community to embrace the spirit of hope, unity, and resilience during this Easter season.
In a statement issued by his Media Officer, Mr. Edoko Wilson Edoko, Enabulele emphasized that Easter is a season of renewal and reflection, urging everyone to emulate the core virtues of Christ.
“This time of year is not only a moment for reflection and renewal but also an opportunity to embrace the spirit of hope, unity, and resilience that sports embodies,” he said.
“Easter is a reminder of new beginnings and the strength that comes from overcoming challenges. Just as the season brings forth new life, let us also renew our commitment to the growth and development of sports in Edo State,” he added.
Enabulele encouraged athletes, coaches, officials, supporters, and sports enthusiasts to use the season to recharge and reflect on their collective goals. “Let us continue to work together to develop our talents, promote sportsmanship, and uplift one another as we strive for excellence in all our endeavors,” he declared.
Looking ahead to upcoming competitions and initiatives, Enabulele urged everyone to carry the spirit of Easter—filled with hope, determination, and commitment—into their training and competitions. “Together, we can achieve great things and further solidify Edo State’s position as a leading force in Nigerian sports,” he concluded.
