Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo South Senatorial District have offered prayers for the success of former House of Representatives member for Oredo Federal Constituency, Ogbeide Ihama, in his bid for the Senate.

The prayers were said shortly after Ihama addressed party leaders on his intention to contest the Edo South Senatorial seat and formally presented his purchased nomination form.

Speaking during the meeting, Ihama expressed confidence that his eight years of legislative experience would enable him to break new ground and attract greater dividends of democracy to Edo South.

Ihama further noted that he enjoys strong support from the youth, adding that their backing could translate into over 20,000 votes for the APC in the forthcoming election.

Speaking on behalf of the Edo South APC leaders, a party chieftain offered prayers and wished Ihama success in his senatorial ambition.

Also lending his voice, former Deputy Governor to Adams Oshiomhole, Pius Odubu, assured Ihama’s team that Edo South leaders would carefully select the party’s senatorial candidate, promising that the best choice would emerge.

In his remarks, West Idahosa expressed strong confidence in Ihama’s candidacy and urged APC leaders to support him.

“When he was speaking, I saw a Senator in the making — the clarity, confidence, and deep understanding of legislative business were evident,” Idahosa said.
