The All Progressives Congress (APC) has presented certificates of return to its successful candidates following the conclusion of its House of Representatives primary elections in Edo State.
Chairman of the Election Committee, Rabiu Ajana, described the exercise as peaceful across all wards, attributing the smooth process to the leadership of the state party chairman, Tenebe
.
Ajana commended Tenebe’s “doggedness” in managing party affairs, noting that the party’s internal cohesion is already building momentum toward its target of delivering 2.5 million votes for the APC in upcoming elections.
“So far, we have not received any petitions, and all returning officers have reported peaceful conduct across the wards,” he said.
Presenting the certificates, Ajana announced the winners across the federal constituencies:

Ajana emphasized that all nine candidates had been duly issued certificates of return, reflecting the party’s commitment to democratic values and internal transparency.
In his remarks, State APC Chairman Tenebe disclosed that some aspirants who stepped down failed to formally notify the party, leading to their names remaining on the ballot.
“This shows that they are all qualified, but in every contest, there must be a winner,” he said.
He reiterated the party’s confidence in its electoral strength, insisting that its structure remains firmly in place to achieve its ambitious vote target.
The presentation ceremony marks the official conclusion of the APC primaries and signals the commencement of full-scale campaigns ahead of the general elections.
Party leaders urged the candidates to remain united, uphold party ideals, and work collectively toward victory at the polls.
Speaking after receiving their certificates, the candidates expressed gratitude to delegates and stakeholders, pledging effective representation and good governance if elected.
The APC reaffirmed its commitment to internal democracy, stressing that a transparent primary process strengthens its chances in the forthcoming election.
