Chief Justice Iyoba Okungbowa has pledged continuous support to CLEEN Foundation, a non governmental organization promoting Citizens awareness on the implementation of ACJL in Edo State.
Hon. Justice Iyoba stated this while welcoming officials of the Foundation who paid a coutsey visit to his office in Benin City.
He commended management of the organization for being in the forefront of fight against corruption and carrying out training programs for stakeholders in the state.
He however assured of studying the Citizens Charter of Demands and help to promote the implementation of the ACJL .
The Program Director of CLEEN Foundation, Mrs Eromon Blessing on her part appreciated Hon. Justice Iyoba for supporting the organization to realize it’s core mandate over the years.
According to her, the organization has thrive and recorded immense achievement due to the cooperation of notable individuals like Hon. Justice Iyoba Okungbowa .
She listed some of the achievement as the training of about 270 representative from relevant criminal justice actors and MDAs, conducted workshop on budgetary allocation, gender accountability, citizens engagement and performance appraisal. E.T.C.
Speaking also, the State Chairman of CSO Observatory Group on ACJL in Edo State, Dr. Bright Oniovokukor, applauded Hon. Justice Iyoba for keeping his promise of an open -door policy despite ongoing challenges.in the country.
