The Managing Director of Edo Transport Services (ECTS),Pastor Mrs. Hauwa Dupe Ohikuai and siblings have laid their late 86years old Mum to final rest in a grand style in Eyean, Benin City.

The burial ceremony which took place on the 28th of November at Enyean, I Benin City had the who is who in Nigeria and outside the country in attendance eulogizing the late Rekha Aleje for her positive impact on the lives of so many people while she was alive.

Speaking to Newsmen, Mrs Hauwa Dupe Ohikhuai described her late mum as a Woman who loved God dearly and served him fervently with her time and resources.

According to her, late. Mrs. Rajha despite having a Muslim background converted to Christianity and embraced the teachings of Christ to love one another as oneself, played a unifying role in her husband’s family where all her husband’s children are seen and regarded as one.

“When my husband was asking for my hand in marriage, he never knew we were a polygamous family because of the way we lived in my house. My late Mum foster step children, relatives and friends, we were all living as one big family and by the grace of God, that is how we are going to remain forever.”

Speaking also, at the thanksgiving service was Mrs Aleje Rekhia eldest Daughter, Pastor Mrs Moyosore Muyiwa Adebayo, who stated that the family will miss Mama for her daily prayers and frequent discussion she often have with her Children.

“I want to thank God specially for Mama for living a good life worthy of emulation, she loved God and she manifested the love of God in all her dealings with people, that is why you can see that we have given her a befitting Christian Burial ceremony that she will be proud of as she is with our Lord Jesus Christ .”

Admonishing worshipers at the thanksgiving service, the Lead Pastor of Christ Covenant Seed Church, Pastor Ohikhuai commended the Children of late Aleje for deeming it necessary to appreciate God almighty for a successful burial.

He however prayed for the family and charged them to remain united even as Mama has gone to eternal rest.
Amongst those present were the Special Adviser to the Minister of Mines and Power, Mr. Kehinde Barmagbetan, Alhaji and Mrs Idris, Dupe Ahmed, Mrs Stephanie Bart, Mrs. Rabi Okhumale, ASABA Kofu Francis, Mr Bola Akinbiyi, While some of the grand Children are Daniel, Amalohi, Ohikhuai and Akiola Akinbiyi.

High point of the ceremony was the sharing of gift items to all who graced the occasion .
