A governorship aspirant on the platform of the Labour Party, LP, Mr. Osaretin Ighile has paid a visit to the executive of the Party at the state secretariat in Benin City, to officially declared his intention to contest the governorship election come 2024.
In his remark, the representative of the governorship aspirant, Mr. Imafidon Osaretin who spoke on behalf of the aspirant said they were at the party secretariat to request for the governorship slot, adding that the aspirant, Mr. Osaretin Ighile is a bonifide member of the party, as he has always participated in all the activities of the party.
“We do not want to create any vacum. That is the reason we are here with our supporters even though our aspirant is presently out of the country”.
Imafidon described Osaretin Ighile as a vibrant, strong and capable person who will not fail to deliver on his promises. He further said that new Edo is posible with Osaretin Ighile.
On his part, the party chairman, Mr. Kelly Ogbaloi said the leadership of the party welcomed the supporters of the governorship hopeful to the secretariat, who came to inform the party of Osaretin Ighile’s intention to contest the governorship election.
