The Edo North Labour Party LGA Chairmen, Secretaries and Party Leaders have paid a solidarity/homage visit to the State Chairman of Labour Party, Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi pledging full support ahead of 2024 Governorship election.
The visit which took place at the State Party Secretariat in Benin City recently had all the Six LGA Chairmen, Secretaries , Party Leaders , Women and Youth Leaders from Edo North Senatorial Districts respectively in attendance,
Speaking during the visit, the representative of Owan East, Hon. S.O. Akharame said that the visit is to rekindle the loyalty of the zone to the State Leadership of the Party led by Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi ahead of the 2024 Governorship election to ensure the Party is reposition to take over power in the next election.
“The future of Labour Party taking over Edo State is very bright because the last election , Labour Party won convincly and all that is being made possible by our dynamic State Chairman, Kelly Ogbaloi with the support of the National Chairman, Barr. Julius Abure. Presently, Labour Party is the only political Party we have our Son as the National Chairman and the state Chairman, we only had this opportunity in the days of Ikhomu and we can not afford not to make good use of this rare priviledge”.
“I want to call on all Labour Party members to join hand with Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi to build the structure of Labour Party and make it stronger than ever before in the State”.
Speaking also, the Chairman of Labour Party in Etsako West LGA, Mustapfa Osikhena noted that it became necessary to pledge their implicit loyalty to the State Leadership of Labor Party led by Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi to ensure he remains firm and resolute ahead of the 2024 Governorship election.
“We have suffered a lot in the hands of APC and PDP and we are happy that Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi is providing a more transparent and all inclusive leadership in Labour Party that will engineer our Party to take over governance from People Democratic Party in the State.”
The LGA Chairman of Owan on his part also said that their visit to the State Chairman was to clear the air of a misconceived impression that Edo North leaders are not behind Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi.
According to him, the leaders from Edo North are solidly behind his leadership and are ready to ensure that they delivered the Senatorial District to Labour Party in the upcoming Governorship election in 2024.
Speaking further, Comrade Victor Okoh, a leader from Edo North also said that Edo North Labour Party is prepared to ensure the right Candidate for the Party emerges as the leaders are not settling for zoning .
“We are not settling for zoning because in the process of zoning, competent hands are zone out and those who do not have the capacity occupies the position, so, the Party will provide a level playing ground for all the Aspirants and whoever emerges in the process, fly the ticket of Labour Party”.
Onaivi Mathew, the Akokoedo Chairman further said that Edo North is for Labour Party and the leaders are ready to support the State Chairman in all capacities and ensure the Party take over leadership position in 2024 Governorship election.
