Speaking during the exercise, the Managing Director of the Agency, Hon. Igabali Imoisili Darlington, who was represented by the Director of Department of Development Control, Town Planner Henry Enabulele said the exercise is part of the development control mission to give the State a facelift.
Hon. Igabali noted that the State Governor had given directives for the city to be rid of illegal shanties and Clearing of debris in the city, announcing that the Agency will continue to visit all other open spaces where illegal structures had been erected and taken over by hoodlums.

About three notices have been served them before now, informing them on the need to vacate the said areas. Such places could pose as criminal hideouts and the Government is doing all it can to reduce criminality in the State.
”Such illegal structures and shanties will no longer be tolerated in the City”. He said.
