Exactly 7: 45am when everyone was busy heading to their workplace,, Courage Igbeniweka who usually dove taxi from Estate gate to ring road was seated at the estate gate park with his fellow colleague discussing how the day business would go, little did he knew that he was being trailed by unknown gunmen
According to eyewitness account, a votron car was parked at the estate gate road while two men stepped down with sophisticated weapons and shot directly at the neck Courage Igbeniweka.
Struggling with the gun shot, the second man came back to make sure he was dead, saying he is not dead yet and shoot him till he fell down dead.
At the sound of the gunshot, commuters and residents of Ebo community started running for their lives and at that point, Courage Igbeniweka was already lying dead on the ground.
The eye witness who prefer anonymous said , moments after the sporadic shooting, the Iyekhogba Police Officers were not on ground until they took his corpse to the Police Station and they came to the scene to ascertain the incidence.
A visit to the Iyekhogba Police division, the DPO , SP Adeyemi said they have commenced investigations and the findings would be revealed to the public by the PPRO .
Speaking to the Elder brother, Endurance Igbeniweka, he expressed sadness over the sudden death of his brother.
According to him, Courage Igbeniweka is married with three children and he is also the coordinator of the Estate gate park.
He said the comity of drivers will miss him because he is a peace loving man who goes about his work with so much passion.
Another driver who spoke to the Crusaders Voice revealed that Endurance death is happening 4 years after the chairman coordinating Estate gate park was also shot in the same manner.
