Foursquare Gospel Church gets new District Overseer, Rev Jimmy Olugbade….as Rev Alfred Oke takes over as Superintendent of Nigercat brànch

The new District Overseer of Foursgaure Gospel church Effurun District Rev. Jimmy olugbade , has called for the unity and support from members of the District and zones under the District .

Rev olugbade who was formerly Superintendent of the nigercat zone of the church recently took over mantle of leadership in Effurun District on Sunday 10th, of December, 2023 .

Expressing his joy over his installation as the new District Overseer in Foursquare Gospel Church, Effurun, he noted that to whom much is given, much is expected .

Rev. Jimmy said his installation as District Overseer is a call to more responsibility which he said by the Grace of God and prayers of his members, he will be able to live up to expectations as required by the management of the Church.

“To every bigger assignment, there is a responsibility. beyond the excitement, it is a call to work harder because this is not just about my members alone but about the zones under Effurun District, so I need the support and help of the People to ensure things are put in place.

Rev. Jimmy also avail the opportunity to thanked the management of Foursquare Gospel Church and Rev. Dr Sam Aboyeji for his support that has brought the elevation of his journey in the Ministry.

He pledges to maintain and work within the framework of the Church and ensure that all the flock served the lord diligently.

Speaking earlier, the National Secretary of Four square Gospel Church, Rev. Samson Alawode while performing the official installation charged Rev. Jimmy and Pastor Mrs. Olugbade to concentrate on the work of God and and not to build name for themselves.

Rev Samson who stressed that there is time and season for every living things on earth said change has come to Effurun District and must be embraced by all members but most importantly must work in unity and speak one language.

He admonished members to work in oneness and cooperate with their new District Overseer to continue to lift Effurun District up.

Quoting Ephesians 6 vs1:6, Rev Samson encourages Rev Jimmy to remain firm , resolute and focus on God alone to build the Church.

“Don’t make a name for yourself, do the work of God not your personal agenda, Preach no other gospel than the gospel of Jesus, Unity does not mean sycophancy, it means constructive contributions and having a variety of ideas on an issue.”

In the same vein, the former district Overseer of Effurun District, Rev. (Dr.) Olufemi Adeboyejo has also been transferred to South West waiting to be installed on the 17th of December. He said though it is a call for higher responsibility, he is going to miss his congregants whom he has developed bond with for over 14years he served as DO, in the District.

“I was the foundational District Overseer of Effurun District and I have served for over 14 years, though Change is inevitable , as I have been transferred to South West region and I believe it will avail me the opportunity to see the other side of the work of God I am doing. We are humanbeings, I will definitely miss People I have developed bond with over the years”

In a similar development, Rev.  Olufemi Adeboyejo performed the official installation of Rev. Alfred Oke as the new Superintendent of Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigercat.

While carrying out the installation ceremony, Rev.  Olufemi stressed that changes are bound to happen as long as Human being lives, and they are brought up for renewal.

He admonishes the  foursquare Gospel Church in Nigercat  to accept and cooperate with the new Superintendent of the Church as that is the only way, they can grow into greatness.

On his part Rev. Alfred Oke congratulated his congregation and declare a new dawn for advancement in all areas of their life.

The ceremony which was well attended by members of the Church who were   fully dressed in beautiful attires but had a section of the ceremony at Nigercat before moving down to Effurun District where the ceremony was wrapped up.
