The member representing Etsako Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sunday Dekeri Anamero has promised to continue affecting the lives of the people just like his father did when he was alive.
Hon. Anamero stated this while speaking with journalists at the burial ceremony of their patriarch, Pa James Dekeri Anamero in Okpella, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State.
Hon. Anamero described his father as a philanthropist, a
giver, father to all and a friend to everyone that came across him while alive.
According to Hon. Dekeri “he has bequeathed in them, the spirit of generosity, that spirit of giving and affecting the lives of the people positively”. “The people you saw here today are from far and near to pay my father deserving last respect “.
He said the the legacy of the patriarch has remain with him hence, the setting up of a Foundation to cater for the poor and the needy in the society.
” I have just opened a charity village to honour my late father, called Anamero Foundation to support the less privileged. We are building schools, we are building multipurpose hall, building one hundred capacity hostel just to support humanity”. He said.
Earlier in his remark, the senator representing Edo North Senatorial District, Senator Adams Oshiomhole extolled the virtue of the father and the good legacy he left behind which is reflecting in his children and urged them to keep the good work alive.
He said giving doesn’t mean you have enough to throw around but a gift of generosity to affect the lives of the under privileged.
According to Senator Oshiomhole, “when I was a governor, (steward) in Edo State, I could still remember when you invited me, using your own money to build schools for your people, buying exercise books which for me and other people, it may not look important but for the poor and needy it means alot to them”.
Senator Oshiomhole urged the Dekeris to continue from where their father stopped and continue to do good and uplift humanity in the world.
