Ovia South Council boss, collaborate with Security Agency, rescue three kidnapped victims

The Executive Chairman of Ovia Southwest local Government Area, Hon Edosa Enomwoghomwenma had again taken the bold step in ensuring the security of lives and properties of his people.

Against this backdrop, the council boss in collaboration with Security chiefs had engaged in bush combing exercise to further create a safe farming environment for the local dwellers in Igueokakhian, Ezide-Noke and Ige-Agbodo communities in Ovia south west Local government area.In his remark shortly after the exercise, the Chairman who was represented by the Supervising counsellor for Education and public security Rapheal Edward noted that the exercise was in continuation of the Chairman’s drive to create a safe farming environment for the local dwellers.

He further stated that the exercise will help to rid the bushes of all illegal settlers that over the time had created apprehension and fear in the minds of our farmers thereby making their farms unaccessible.

Hon Rapheal maintained that the Oduwa mantra of the present administration is geared towards making Ovia a safe heaven for farmers so as to continually be the hub of agriculture it has always been known for.

He assured the people of the administration readiness to continually ensuring safety at all time and urged them to continually give necessary information to security agents that will help in curbing all forms of illegalities in the local council.In the course of the bush combing exercise, three kidnapped victims were rescued by the security agencies which include the Army, Police, DSS and Civil Defense Corps.

It will be recalled that few weeks ago, the Chairman also led a team of Security personnel to comb the bushes around Iguoriakhi, Ora, Iguobazuwa, Aimieghomwan
