As part of his concerted effort to strengthening security architecture in the council area, the Chairman Ovia southwest Local Government area had announced the appointment of Jonathan Osawata as the new Chief of ESSVN, Ovia southwest command.
The announcement was made today at the council secretariat during a special peace and security meeting with various security agencies and community stakeholders in the local government area.
The meeting which also serve as a formal welcome ceremony for the Men of Nigeria Army formation who were recently deployed to the Local government area had in attendance array of various security agencies and community stakeholders including the military, police, Edo State Security Network (ESSN), Vigilantes, Hunters Group, Civil Defence corps, as well as revered Traditional Leaders, Heads of Clans from the locality.
Addressing newsmen after the close door meeting, the council boss noted that through collaborative discourse and proactive engagement, security agencies can exchange insights, experiences, and expertise to foster a conducive environment for synergy and innovation that will drive the local council security architecture to performing optimally.
He Stressed the need for the security agencies to formulatee series of actionable strategies and initiatives that will fortify the security apparatus within Ovia South-West.
He further mentioned that the meeting which will be held regularly, will serve as a platform for robust deliberations and strategic planning to comprehensively reviewed all existing security protocols and policies, with a collective endeavour to evaluate their efficacy and identify areas for improvement.
The success of the meeting underscores the consensus reached on key resolutions and the unwavering commitment demonstrated by all participants towards the collective goal of ensuring the safety and security of our area.
