The Chief Press Secretary to the reinstated Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu has described the petition written to IGP by Edo State Government as reactive measures to cover up the heinous crime perpetuated by Men of the Vigilantes and PUWOV against late Inspector Akor.

This was released in a statement signed and made available to news Men in Benin City.

According to the Statement, the State Governor ,Godwin Obaseki has used his illegal arms Men under the cover up of State Vigilantes to commit executive murder.

“For a Man who is expected to protect his People and their property but recklessly mauled down one of his subjects in the name of election, he shall sleep no more”

“The Spirit of late Inspector Akor will continue to hunt him as his blood cries for vengeance”.

The statement went further to stress that calling IGP to investigate the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu and others is nothing but diversionary .

“It’s illogical for anyone to contemplate that Shaibu and his supporters will turn around to shoot and kill one of the Police officers detailed to protect their gubernatorial Candidate, Senator Monday Okpewolo “.

” It was a day of Joy for Shaibu and his numerous supporters, so, Obaseki knew it and typical of his person, h committed the havoc to put slur on the celebration and stain the white garment of Shaibu. It’s a common maxim ,that dogs does not eat dog. The question the police should be asking Obaseki is why did he detailed his State Police armed with AK raffles and pump action to take over the Benin Airport gate to welcome his estranged Deputy Governor or his arch political rival, Monday Okpewholo? ”

” Obaseki should be told in clear terms to handover his Men who murdered Inspector Akor”.
