Riverine Peace Initiative in Niger Delta Congratulates Governor Sheriff Oborevwori over Victory at Supreme Court

The Riverine Peace Initiative in Niger Delta has applauded the Supreme Court for their impartial Judgment delivered on the Delta State. governorship tussle which saw the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori retaining his seat.

Congratulating Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on his recent judicial victory, the President of the peace initiative body, Comrade Mulade Toluwa described the Supreme Court Judgment as a sign of hope to Nigerians.

The country apex court recently dismissed an appeal filed by the All Progressive Congress APC Guber candidate Hon omoagge challenging the electoral victory of Gov.Oborevwori.

According to the statement which was signed and made available to newsmen in Warri, described the Supreme Court Judgment as a ray of hope for the future of democracy in Nigeria.

” We members of Riverine Peace Initiative in Niger Delta can not help but celebrate our Amiable Governor for this well deserved victory.
We are glad that the Supreme Court has reaffirmed the voice of the People of Delta State that you were the one we voted for”.

The statement further added that it’s time for the Governor to face the business of governance and make life more beautiful for the Deltans.
