In the course of my candidacy for the position of Vice Chairman of the Edo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), I have attentively listened to the opinions of my colleagues and thoroughly reviewed the commentaries on the ideologies of all contestants.

My candidacy is grounded in a deep understanding of the development trajectory of the current administration—an administration that places a high premium on the welfare of members and the infrastructural upgrade of the council.

As a serving member of the State Executive Council (SEC), I have actively understudied and learned the dynamics of our union’s governance and administration.

This experience has ignited my determination to run for the Vice Chairmanship position, with the intent to offer complementary support to the existing leadership.

I am fully committed to advancing our shared goals and to building on the foundation that has been laid, ensuring that we continue to drive the progress of our union forward.

*I am fully sold out to the Alenkhe administration’s ideology, which has demonstrated a clear vision for sustainable development, progress, and people-centered leadership. The Alenkhe-Maureen combination is the right direction—a sure pathway to continued growth where no one is left behind. I will collaborate closely with the leadership to sustain this momentum and ensure that the strides made are further strengthened.*

I look forward to the opportunity to serve and to contribute meaningfully to the collective well-being of our members and the continued growth of our council.
