Edo Will be a First Class State in Nigeria under my watch as Governor- Asue Ighodalo

One of the leading Governorship Aspirant under the platform of People Democratic Party, Asue Ighodalo has described his ambition to become the Governor of Edo State as a Unifier whose experience and track record in the private sector would transform the State to a first Class State in Nigeria.

Asue Ighodalo who is a reknown cooperate finance expert stated this while addressing Newsmen at the secretariat of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State Council, noted that his party, the People Democratic Party is one of the strongest party in the State which has what it takes to produce the next Governor, come 2024.

Speaking further, he stressed that he believes in the capacity of the leadership of his party to make wise decision of providing a transparent process of nominating him as the flag bearer because his antecedents suggest transparency and performance.

Having started a law firm from the scratch and today has one of the most efficient private law firm that has over 100 legal professionals with about 50 partners , Asue Ighodalo boasted that he has what it takes to build on the foundation laid by Governor Godwin Obaseki which will position the State as a destination for inter state migration.

Extoling the uniqueness of Edo People, Asue said they are hardworking people with very unique creative abilities that has been under utilized over the years , but with his coming, he is ready to allow the youths to drive the economy with their creative abilities.

“What we need to do is to encourage our People with the necessary investment in the different sectors such as Tourism, Primary Health, Agriculture , Education, provision of infrastructure such as roads, that can help transform the State”.

“Under my watch, no Edo Person will go to bed hungry as I am prepared to serve my people in a way that will bring prosperity and advancement. All I need is the support of my People to see this dream a reality”.

Barr. Asuen went further to say that Edo contractors who has the capacity to build World Class Infrastructures will be engaged in his administration if nominated and elected as Governor of the State.

He stressed that Edo can not afford to give power to someone who can not sustain the already existing policy and transformation. “ at this point, what we need is strong leadership that can solve and propel the young ones , Men, Women and Men to greatness” he said.

On his part, the State Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State Council, Comrade Festus Alenkhe welcome the financial expert, Asue Ighodalo to the Press Center and assured him that Media Practitioners will always  do the needful to publish reports on all the aspiring Governor’s in the State.

He wished him success in his ambition and pray that the one who gives power will help him.
