The Edo state chapter of Labour Party (LP) has described as ridiculous, unfounded, baseless and a futile vituperation lacking merit or truth of a plot by one Liborous Oshoma in a viral video to deliberately and maliciously undermine the party ahead of the State Governorship election.
In a press briefing, the State Chairman of the Party, Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi said that it was crucial to emphasize that the spurious allegations by Liborous were entirely false, baseless and deliberately crafted to undermine the party and its objectives.
According to him, “the Liborous Oshoma viral video where he maliciously and falsely made attempts to tarnish the impeccably glaring and unblemished personality of Peter Obi and the National Chairman of the Party, Barr. Julius Abure are mere falsehood aimed solely at denting the impeccable strength of character of our Party’s principal officers.
“Ordinarily, we would not have bothered to dignify the likes of Oshoma with a response, given his laziness and lack of intellectual capacity. However, Oshoma has gone to great lengths in futile attempt to defame the character of Peter Obi and the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Barrister Julius Abure.
“This contemptible individual has targeted Mr. Peter Obi, who is widely recognized as a global advocate for Africa’s liberation, questioning his integrity and alleging his indifference towards the crisis instigated by the All Progressives Congress (APC) within the Labour Party. Oshoma has also revived baseless accusations against the party’s leadership, hence the need to put the record in it’s proper perspective
“It is crucial to emphasize that the allegations are entirely false, baseless, and deliberately crafted to undermine the party and its objectives. Moreover, they aim to support the efforts of a group of dissidents within the party who have attempted to disrupt and hinder the election petition in the tribunal.”
Going further Comrade Ogbaloi added: “Labour Party is well aware that the instigators behind these attacks are relentless and constantly seeking malleable accomplices like Liborous Oshoma to further their destructive agenda against the Labour Party.
However, we assure them that their endeavors will be in vain and will have no impact. It is evident that Oshoma’s video is sponsored by the opposition party and fugitive Curtis Ugbo, who is desperately attempting to remain relevant through deceitful tactics, even though he is not a member of the Labour Party.
“In another instance, Curtis Ugbo falsely claimed that party officials accept illicit payments into their personal accounts. This is another fabrication concocted from the pit of hell. There is no need for further explanation on this since this issue has been laid to rest but for the sake of transparency, here is the party’s corporate account number: 2033793991, held in First Bank Plc. The public is welcome to investigate.
“The issue of forgery, as mentioned in the video, has already been debunked by the police in their various investigations and reports. It is evident that the Labour Party is the only party that upholds internal democracy, which has attracted numerous individuals to join our ranks.
“We therefore urge our members, including the Obedient family, to disregard Oshoma and others of his ilk, who are nothing more than social pariahs.”
