The Labour Party Senatorial Candidate for Edo Central, Hon. Paul Omo Okojie, has extended heartfelt condolences to Comrade A. Okporan, a respected Labour Party leader in Esan North East, following the death of his wife, Mrs. Okporan.
In a press statement issued on Friday , Hon. Okojie described the loss as a shcok not only a personal tragedy for the Okporan family but also a moment of mourning for the wider Labour Party community across Edo Central.
“This is a time of sorrow not only for the immediate family but also for the entire Labour Party family in Esan North East and Edo Central at large,” he said. “Mrs. Okporan was not just a pillar in her home, but a quiet supporter of our shared democratic ideals. Her strength, grace, and warmth touched many who came across her.”
Hon. Okojie, who is contesting the August 16 senatorial bye-election, added that the party stands in solidarity with Comrade Okporan during this painful period.
“On behalf of my family, campaign team, and the entire Labour Party in Edo Central, I pray that God grants our brother the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, and may He grant eternal rest to the soul of the departed.”
He concluded by reaffirming that the Labour Party is not just a political platform but a family united in both victory and grief.
