As he approaches his 50th birthday, renowned broadcast journalist and public relations expert Moses Uyi Osaretin is choosing a path less traveled—one of compassion, community service, and purposeful giving.
Rather than mark the occasion with fanfare, Osaretin has unveiled a bold humanitarian initiative tagged *_“50 Free Surgeries for 50 Indigent Persons,”_* aimed at restoring hope and dignity to underprivileged Nigerians who lack access to basic healthcare.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the initiative, he said: _“In a world where many suffer in silence due to poverty and inadequate healthcare, I believe this golden chapter of life should not be about celebration alone, but about meaningful contribution.”_
The medical outreach, which will be executed in partnership with Igbinedion University Teaching Hospital (IUTH), Okada, will cover various procedures—including eye surgeries, intermediate, and major operations—completely free of charge to the beneficiaries.
The initiative forms part of activities lined up to commemorate his 50th Birthday Lecture, titled *_“The Journey of Life: The Essence of Giving Back,”_* which holds on Friday, August 29, 2025. The lecture is expected to bring together thought leaders, community advocates, and professionals committed to advancing the cause of humanity.
