The National Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Olaniyan, received Comrade Bibi Oduku, Chairman of Guard Time Information and Human Rights Activists Nationwide, for a strategic meeting aimed at strengthening community policing through collaboration.
The PCRC Chairman commended Guard Time Information for its impactful role in defending citizens’ rights and promoting the well-being of Nigerians.
He noted that the partnership would enhance public enlightenment and introduce progressive programmes designed to strengthen the relationship between the Nigeria Police Force and the public.
Key focus areas of the collaboration include promoting non-violence and peace-building initiatives, organizing educational programmes for police officers and their families, and carrying out awareness campaigns on drug abuse, crime prevention, and other social vices.
The partnership will also deepen human rights advocacy and support developmental programmes across communities.
Speaking during the meeting, Comrade Bibi Oduku expressed optimism that the collaboration would improve peace, security, and community service delivery nationwide.
He reaffirmed the commitment of Guard Time Information to supporting the Nigeria Police Force in its role as the country’s foremost internal security agency.
He further highlighted ongoing nationwide campaigns targeting drug abuse, crime prevention, and the promotion and protection of citizens’ rights, particularly within higher institutions, in response to the growing challenges of substance abuse and its impact on society.
The partnership, he said, represents a significant step toward building a safer, more informed, and rights-conscious society.
He assured that joint programmes on human rights, peacebuilding, drug awareness, and public safety would be effectively implemented.
