The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BEDC Electricity Plc, Mr Deolu Ijose has said that, dedication to service by the company’s staff was a bedrock to the company’s success in 2023.
Ijose made this declaration during his new year message to
staff in the company’s Corporate Headquarters in Benin city, recently.
According to Ijose, since dedication to service has remained a standard , the staff should uphold an unwavering committement to duties thereby; ensuring the smóoth operation with emphasis on customer satisfaction.
The Managing Director also said that, staff dedication to work and steadfastness has brought the company thus far and stood out to be one of the models for others to emulate.
Ijose who acknowledged the hardship of a stuggling economy of the country said welfare remains a top priority in the company’s laid down policies and will be implemented on a consistent basis to improve staff welfare.
While thanking staff for a job weldone in 2023, the MD/CEO continued by imploring them to intensify efforts towards achieving more in 2024 especially in the aspect of reducing ATC& C loses to the barest minimum.
On the main focus of the company this year, in terms of customer satisfaction ,Ijose said, MAP Metering scheme, Revenue protection and Energy Audit/ Accounting amongst others deserve unwavering focus this year by eliminating bottle necks, expediting processes and eradicating unjustifiable delays in rendering services to the customers.
Also highlighting on staff impunity in the work place the Chief Executive Officer said, those staff fond of tarnishing the company’s image through illicit behavior should desist from such acts as he warned in his words “we will find you and we will apply sanctions and in most cases, invite the law enforcement to take its full course.
Ijose who christened 2024 as ” a year of progress, prosperity and unwavering Safety for BEDC staff and loved ones,” said, as a dawn of a new year beckons, let us rise with renewed purpose, dedication and shared vision for a brighter BEDC.
