A foremost governorship aspirant in the upcoming election in Edo state, Dr Azemhe Azena has felicitated with the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare 11, on his recent appointment as the Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN, by the outgoing President Mohammadu Buhari.
Dr. Azena Azemhe in a press statement issued and signed circulated to the newsmen, in Benin city, also described His Royal Majesty’s appointment as not only well-deserved, but also a clear evidence of the high esteem that the Federal Government holds the great Oba of Benin Kingdom.
The governorship aspirant under the labour party platform disclosed that, His Royal Majesty’s appointment was also in recognition of the significance place, that Benin and Edo State occupied in the affairs of the country, as the ‘Heartbeat of the Nation’, and acknowledged the President Muhammadu Buhari for the honour done, to the revered Monarch.
Pastor Azena who pastored a mega modern wave-making church hails, from okpella in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo North senatorial district of Edo state, said:” I pray to our God Almighty, to grant His Royal Majesty Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin Kingdom the wisdom, insight, grace and excellent health to deliberate and brainstorm on the activities of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), and to take it to a greater heights.
