The Acting Managing Director of Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS), Ambassador Festus Alenkhe, has announced the resumption of the station’s terrestrial broadcasting as part of ongoing efforts to reposition the organisation for improved service delivery.

Ambassador Alenkhe made the disclosure while receiving the Chairman of the Federated Chapel and members of the executive, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
He explained that since Governor Monday Okpebholo announced his appointment, he and his management team have been working tirelessly to reposition the station, improve its operational efficiency, and restore its status as a leading broadcast organisation in Edo State.
According to him, the restoration of terrestrial broadcasting marks a major milestone in the administration’s efforts to enhance service delivery and expand the station’s reach to viewers and listeners across the state.
The Acting Managing Director appreciated the Executive and members of the Federated Chapel for the visit and their show of solidarity, describing the gesture as a source of encouragement as he embarks on the task of repositioning the organisation.
He assured the chapel of his continued support for its forthcoming annual programme and urged its leadership to sustain the progress and achievements it has recorded over the years.
Earlier, the Chairman and members of the Federated Chapel congratulated Ambassador Alenkhe on his appointment as Acting Managing Director of Edo Broadcasting Service, describing it as well deserved.
They noted that his appointment was a testament to his dedication, professionalism, and immense contributions to journalism and public service over the years.
The delegation expressed confidence in his ability to provide purposeful leadership for the station and prayed that God would grant him the wisdom, strength, and grace to lead EBS to greater heights.
They further wished him a successful and impactful tenure marked by innovation, excellence, and achievements that would strengthen both the station and the broadcasting profession.
