Edo 2024: Stephen Osenwengie declares Interest to contest for Governor in Labour Party,Says the time is Youth o’clock in Edo

An International Edo born American based business Man, Stephen Osenwengie has declared intention to contest for Governor under the platform of Labour Party come 2024.

The real estate mogul who stormed the State Secretariat of Labour Party in Edo State along with his supporters chanting new direction for Edo people said his mission is to unite, secure and attract prosperity to the people of the state.

“There is hungry in the land, our people are yearning for a better life and that is what I am bringing on board, enough of our young able bodied Men jetting out of the country and slaving off their prime away, we have to make here conducive to enable our Sons in the diaspora to come back home and bring their expertise to develop our State”.

According to Osenwengie, if given the opportunity to run as the flag bearer of Labour, will provide security to enable a safe environment for investors, champion Agricultural production, affordable and accessible health care system, efficient and Effective Education for people of the state

Stephen Osenwengie noted that the time is Youth o ‘clock and as a Youth, he is ready to attract International Investors who are willing to invest in the State.

“We are going to promote transparency and accountability to enable Investors have confidence in plugging their resources in to our states.

He however called on Edo Youths to support his aspirations as his ambition will benefit Youths in the state more.

Speaking also, the State Chairman of Labour party, Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi welcome Stephen Osenwengie and supporters to the state Secretariat of the Party as he reiterated the vision of the party to reposition governance in the State.

Comrade Kelly said the party has not zero in for any Aspirants as the door is still open for those who have the ambition to run for Edo 2024.

He however charged Stephen Osenwengie to go back to his ward and commence work to enable him sell his candidacy to members of his party.

He added that the Leadership of the party has decided to ensure the primary election of who becomes the flag bearer of Labour Party in the state remain transparent to the point that contestants will be free to congratulate who will emerge at the end.
