Top musical and comedy stars across Nigeria are set to storm Benin City on June 13th as the highly anticipated “Edo To The World” Talent Hunt takes center stage in a bold move to discover, groom, and promote emerging talents from Edo State.
Speaking on the vision behind the initiative, organizer Marcus Mckane described the project as a long-term platform aimed at empowering young people through entertainment and creative development.
According to him, “Continuous talent discovery, recruitment, grooming, training, and strategic promotion of young talents both nationally and internationally will significantly reduce criminality and youth restiveness.”
Mckane noted that the initiative is designed not only to uncover raw talents in music, comedy, dance, and other creative arts, but also to provide participants with mentorship, exposure, and access to opportunities within the entertainment industry.
The event is expected to attract entertainers, industry stakeholders, talent scouts, and hundreds of youths from across Edo State and beyond, positioning Benin City as a growing hub for creative excellence and youth empowerment.
Organizers say the June 13 showcase will feature live performances, comedy, talent auditions, networking opportunities, and appearances by notable entertainers, all geared toward projecting Edo talents to the world stage.
