Engr. Emmanuel Okeobor congratulates Oba on Igue festival

A Frontline aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC for the Edo 2024 governorship election, Engr Emmanuel Okoebor has felicitated with his Royal Majesty,
Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin on the auspicious occasion of the 2023 Igue Festival.

According to a release personally signed by Emmanuel Okoebor and made available to the Press earlier today by the Media Team in Benin city the Edo state capital, Emmanuel Okoebor observed that Igue festival was an annual celebration that embodies the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Benin kingdom.

According to the release, “On this glorious occasion of the Igue Festival, I, Emmanuel Okoebor, humbly extend my heartfelt greetings and good wishes to Your Royal Majesty, as well as the entire Benin Kingdom.

“The Igue Festival is a momentous celebration that embodies the rich cultural heritage and deep-rooted traditions of the Benin Kingdom. It is a time when the people come together in unity and reverence to pay homage to their ancestors, to seek blessings, and to offer gratitude for the abundant blessings bestowed upon them.

“Your Royal Majesty, under your wise and benevolent reign, the Benin Kingdom has witnessed remarkable progress and development. Your unrelenting commitment to preserving and promoting the cultural values and traditions of the land has earned you immense respect and admiration not only within the Kingdom but also beyond its borders.

“As we gather to celebrate the Igue Festival, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for the traditions that bind us together as a people. The festival serves as a reminder of our shared history, our resilience, and our collective aspirations for a brighter future.

He further prayed that the celebration would usher into the kingdom and unto the people peace and unity.
