The road walk will commence at the King’s Square in Benin City on Saturday, June 1st, 2024, at 9:00 am and terminate at the Edo State Government House.

The event, which is part of the Institute’s anniversary celebrations, aims to promote economic development and growth in Nigeria.

According to Dr. James-Wisdom Abhulimen, Chairman, Edo State NIPR Chapter, “The Diamond Road Walk for Economic Transformation is a symbolic event that represents our commitment to promoting economic growth and development in Nigeria. We believe that Public Relations plays a critical role in shaping the narrative of our country’s economic transformation, and we are excited to mark this milestone anniversary with this event.”

The event will also feature a symbolic tree planting ceremony at the Museum Ground in Benin City, which represents the Institute’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

“We invite all members of the public to join us on this historic walk and be part of this momentous occasion,” Dr. Abhulimen added.
