Women of Emodu-Ogunmwenyin village in Edo State have called on the state government to urgently provide essential amenities, including a primary healthcare centre, a functional market, and accessible road infrastructure in their community.
The appeal was made during a visit by the National Coordinator of Rural Women Mobilization for Empowerment, Comrade Anita Ehrehi, and her team.
Speaking with The Crusaders Voice, the women expressed deep concern over the hardships they face, particularly in accessing healthcare and markets located in distant communities.
They noted that the situation becomes more critical during emergencies, as poor road conditions further limit timely access to medical services.
