Paul Okojie emerges Labour Party Edo Central Senatorial Candidate

Edo State chapter of the Labour Party,LP, has announced Paul Omo Okojie as it’s Senatorial Candidate for Edo central senatorial bye election.

This is contained in a press statement issued and signed by the State Publicity Secretary of the Party, Airen Igbenedion in Benin City.

 

The primary election which was held in Labour Party Secretariat in Uromi, Esan South local government area saw delegates showing preference for Okojie through votes.

In a similar development, Comrade Franklin Agbonohenhen Uyi also emerged as the Party flag-bearer of Ovia federal constituency.

The statement reads in part:

“On behalf of the Labour Party in Edo State, I heartily congratulate our flag-bearers on their emergence.
Their victory reflects the confidence our members and delegates have in their leadership capacity, integrity, and vision for a better Edo State”.

“The Labour Party remains committed to the principles of justice, equity, and people-centered governance. As we move into the next phase of our electoral campaign, we call on all party faithful, supporters, and the general public to rally behind our candidates as we work towards victory at the polls.”

“We also commend the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), our security agencies, observers, and party officials who ensured that today’s exercise was peaceful, credible, and reflective of the will of our members.”

Together, we shall build a new Edo where the people come first.
