The Divisional Police Officer of Iyekogba community in Edo State has been honored by the Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (ACNPN) , 2025 Merit Award.
The Award which was presented during the association annual conference in Igbuzor, Asaba , Delta State recently recognises SP Bashorun unwavering commitment to effective policing in Iyekogba community.
Speaking shortly after receiving the Award, SP Bashorun dedicated the honour to God Almighty and officers who have played major roles in ensuring that Iyekogba community is safe for the residents.
He also commended the hon. Commissioner of Police for championing a crime free Edo State and setting a pace that inspired and promotes a safe Edo State.
SP Bashorun Ayodamola is a seasoned Police Officer who was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet ASP in 2016.
His security journey started i when he passed out of the prestigious Police Staff College, Jos.
As a Police officer, he has served in different capacities, such as PAPA Gulf of challenge Divisional headquarters, Divisional traffic officer of Mokola division in Ibadan.
He is a Man of vision, purpose and result oriented officer with a proven track record in leadership and human resource management.
He has worked with the Oyo State Command Anti-Robbery Team where he displayed professionalism in the fight against crime.
SP Bashorun was second in Command of the Intelligence Rapid Response Squad in the Edo State Police Command.
Today, he serves with excellence as the Divisional Police Officer of Iyekogba division
He has bagged many Awards from reputable organizations due to his unwavering commitment in the fight against crime in the country.
SP Bashorun Ayodamola is indeed a shining example of what a modern police officer should look like .
