Indigene of Adesagbon Community have continued to pour encomium on the Okaighele, Comrade Theophilus Owonwan, for his transparent and accountable leadership style.

The commendations came during the commissioning of an industrial borehole and a newly built ultra-modern town hall, performed by the oldest man in the community ( Odoinwere) Pa . Pullen Aghor.

The Secretary-General of the community, Osaradion Osas described Owonwan as a “God-sent leader,” noting that his prudent management of community finances has significantly attracted development to the area.

He added that the Okaighele’s leadership has restored peace unity and development within the community.

A long-time resident of over 40 years, Mr. Osula MacPherson who is not an indigene but has served as a teacher in the community, also praised Owonwan’s leadership.

According to him, the Okaighele has consistently demonstrated care for the people, particularly through his end-of-year support initiatives.

“Theophilus Owonwan is a man I have known for a long time, and his leadership style has continued to promote peace,” he said.

“This ultra-modern town hall you see today was his initiative, and he ensured its completion.

If he were otherwise, the funds could have been mismanaged.”

Another elder expressed confidence in Owonwan’s leadership, emphasizing that he is widely regarded as a God-sent figure due to his inclusive approach to governance.

He noted that the Okaighele carries along the Edion (elders), youths, men, and women in all community affairs.

In his remarks, Okaighele Theophilus Owonwan thanked God and the elders for their unwavering support, which he said has enabled him to attract meaningful development to the community.

He disclosed that beyond constructing the town hall and industrial borehole, efforts are ongoing to fully equip the facilities for optimal use.

He reaffirmed his commitment to selfless service and the continued progress of the community.

High point of the event was a leadership assembly involving elders and other stakeholders, where discussions were held on the future development and progress of Adesagbon Community.
