The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Edo State Branch, has officially endorsed the re-election bid of Dr. Richard Edosa, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly representing the Oredo West Constituency.
The endorsement, conveyed through a statement signed by Dr. Eustace Oseghale, Chairman of the Edo State NMA, highlights the association’s recognition of Edosa’s contributions to the development of the Oredo Local Government Area.
The Edo NMA leadership equally expressed strong support for Hon. Dr. Richard Edosa’s pursuit of a second term, emphasizing his commitment to the well-being of the people and oredo LGA.
The association acknowledges Edosa’s efforts in championing the rights and welfare of patients and residents within Edo State.
According to Oseghale, His dedication to public health and community development has earned him the backing of the NMA.
The statement further emphasized Dr. Edosa’s pivotal role in the passage of the Edo State Health Monitoring and Regulatory Agency Bill.
The statement reads in part, “As a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, Dr Edosa has consistently championed the protection of patients and residents of Edo State. Most recently, he was pivotal to the passage of the landmark Edo State Health Monitoring and Regulatory Agency Bill, a law that strengthens patient safety and healthcare standards across our state.”
The Edo NMA while commending Dr. Richard Edosa for his outstanding leadership, appealed to him to seek another term in office to consolidate these gains; and also called on the good people of Oredo West to support, nominate, and re-elect him into the Edo State House of Assembly.
The NMA’s endorsement underscores the importance of having medical professionals like Hon. Richard Osaro Edosa in positions of leadership, where they can advocate for policies that improve healthcare access and quality for all citizens.
