The Leader of Itshekiri community in Ologbo , Chief Prince Johnson Atseleghe has described the local government election in Ikpoba Oha LGA , Ward 10, unit 13 ,2,3,4,6,5 and 39 as free , fair ,credible and Peaceful.
Prince Johnson who said Ward 10 is for People Democratic Party applauded Ologbo people for their massive turn out and said the people are rewarding Governor Godwin Obaseki for his developmental strides in the LGA.
He stated this while addressing Newsmen who were monitoring the election in Ologbo Community in Ikpoba Oha LGA, Benin City.
Also speaking, Chief John Oshofo noted that the turn out of electorates was impressive and the Itshekiri people in Ologbo Community has proven that they are indeed grateful to the People Democratic Party as they have voted massively for the Party.
Speaking further, Chief Isaac described the local government election as impressive and peaceful.
According to him, the local government election is crucial to the development of the State and must not be handed over to someone who do not have the capacity to enable development in the local government area.
At Ohen primary school in Ologbo Community, the Acting Chairman of Itshekiri Youth Community in Edo State, Nosakhare Nosa also described the voting in his units as Peaceful and transparent with all the Party agents on the polling units.
” Our People have voted massively for the People Democratic Party, I just wish that EDSIEC will announce the results the way the people voted “
” I am using this opportunity to call on whoever emerges as winner of this election to ensure he reciprocate the show of love to the people by bringing development to Ikpoba Oha”
He however reaffirmed confidence on the People Democratic Party Candidate, Mr. S. Osayande and said his work has made the people Troup out to cast their votes for him as he is the Man of the People.
The election in Ologbo in Ikpoba Oha LGA appears to be calm as voters walk into their various unites and cast their votes in a seemingly peaceful environment.
As at the time this report was published , the EDSIEC officers were still collating results.
