Edo NUJ Leadership ,releases timetable for free Medical Check-Up for Journalists

The leadership of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State Council in collaboration with JCI Edo Bronze has scheduled to hold a two day free medical care services for Journalists in Edo State.

The free medical services which would take place in NUJ, Press Center on the 8 and 9 of February, 2024 will have Journalists screened for hypertension, diabetes,blood pressure, eye screening, Hepatitis B , HIV Test, Blood sugar test, Cervical Cancer and BMI test respectively.

This was contained in a Press Release signed by the Chairman, Comrade Festus Alenkhe and the Secretary, Comrade Andy Egbon and made available to Journalists in the State.

According to the statement, the day one which is 8th of February will have State Information Chapel, Federal Information Chapel, ITV/Radio Chapel, Vibes FM Chapel, Correspondent Chapel, Merit and KU-Speed FM Chapel respectively.

The day two which is on the 9th of February will also have Edo Broadcasting Services chapel, Nigeria Observer Chapel, NTA chapel, Reliance Chapel, Bronze FM Chapel, Federated Chapel, AOT/Ray power Chapel and Super FM Chapel including NUJ tenants and friends of the Union screened .

It further emphasised that members of the Union should make good use of this rare opportunity to check their eyes as there will be free glasses for those who needs it during the exercises.

The statement however enjoined all chapel leaders to mobilize their members for the medical check up.
