The Divisional Police Officer of Idogbo division, SP Solomon Oriarewo has received an Award of Merit from the Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (ACNPN) for changing the security narrative of Idogbo community for better.
The Award which was presented during the association’s annual conference in Igbuzor, Asaba, Delta State was said to recognise his unwavering commitment in ensuring that Idogbo community is safe for residents.
Speaking shortly after the presentation, SP Solomon Oriarewo dedicated the honor to the Commissioner of Police who deployed him to Idogbo to bring his professional experience to bear while providing security for the people.
He noted that since his assumption as DPO Idogbo division, the security narrative of upper sakpoba has changed, with investors bringing their investment to the area.
” No doubt, this Award is testament to the fact that People are watching me and are taking record of how we have chased Criminals out of Idogbo community.
In fact, I further dedicate this Award to God Almighty who is giving me the strength to do what I am doing.”.
He commended ACNPN for acknowledging his efforts to serve the ordinary people and reaffirmed his team’s dedication to put more effort in ensuring Idogbo remains safe for the people.
“This award gives us renewed strength to continue our mission,” he said. “We remain committed to the Commissioner zero tolerance for crime “.
The event attracted community leaders, health practitioners, civil society groups, and media professionals who applauded ACNPN for recognizing outstanding Nigerians.
SP Solomon Oriarewo is a Man of vision, purpose and action. A dynamic security officer who has distinguished himself in the Nigeria Police Force. He is indeed writing his name in gold in the history of Nigeria Police Force.
Born in to the family of Oriarewo in Usigbenu-Ewu in Esan Central local government in Edo State, he is an accomplished Police Officer who earned his BPA, MPA degrees in University of Benin.
SP Oriarewo has served in different capacities where he performed excellently well. Amongst which are , OC, surveillance in Ugbowo police division, 2IC State High Way patrol, Edo State Command. He was district officer, Estate police post, district officer, Edo State house of assembly, divisional Officer, textile mill division. Divisional police officer, Anglu Jos Division, Jos. Divisional Police Officer, Plateau State Command, OC Conflict Resolution Unit (SCID),Benin City. And presently the Divisional Police Officer Idogbo division.
He is married to barrister Mrs Ese Esther Oriarewo and they are blessed with children. He loves football and music .
He is detailed and result driven. His approach to problem solving and ability to guide teams towards attaining success is second to none.
SP Oriarewo is indeed a Man with few words but with laudable actions that roar like thunder. This attributes he has displayed with integrity, compassion and making impact in the lives of ordinary people.
