I had said that I would NOT
retire from commenting on
issues of our land. Instead, I am refueling. Bad news for my “fans.”
By way of emphasis, I say, as always, that as from January, 2026, no Nigerian may unashamedly openly campaign for state creation on Nigerian soil. Anyone who does so, may be asking the citizens, inadvertently, to provide him or her a suitable market square to dance NAKED in public.
I have written extensively about Anioma state creation, giving a cogent, critical analysis, leading to its non realisation. But, for some of our people, the struggle continues, deliberately discarding the realities. The agitation for Anioma state has become an occupation.
All the geopolitical zones are agitating for state creation; almost all the states are similarly doing so. State creation is now a game or gamble.
To me, it appears that our land breeds more professional sycophants than the other ethnic groups in Delta North. This explains why our youths, our able -bodied men and women troop to their principal’s kitchen for free lunch. Shameful. They are unaware that their principal uses them to constitute a cast for a well choreographed play. The play obviously comes to a close in 2026.
Our people are not aware that the campaign for 2027 has already begun. To be fair to Tinibu, he never assured Nigerians that his administration would create states. Up till now, his body language does not suggest that state creation is on the front burner. He is fully aware, I guess, that state creatioon is IMPOSSIBLE.
For over a year, I have studied our people vis-a-vis Anioma state creation. And I have come to the conclusion that, some of the literates have become illiterates, while some of illiterates have graciously become “literates,” thinking for the educated.
We should start now to discuss how to get quality men and women into parliament in 2027, NOT chasing meaningless state creation. God bless our land.
