The Edo State Director of National Orientation Agency, Mr. Austin Odile has commended face Iniative organization for sponsoring Vote Not Fight Campaign in the south south states in Nigeria.
He stated this while addressing members of the State technical committee who paid an advocacy visit in his office recently in Benin City.
According to him, the Vote Not Fight sensitization campaign is gradually getting into the people because research had revealed that the level of thuggery activities during election period is gradually reducing due to the high level of sensitization going on in the country.
He however called on Edo People not to relent but get involve in the electoral process that would produced credibile candidates in the 2023 general election.
He further said that what FACE Initiative is doing is inline with their mandate to sensitize the people on the need to be patriotic citizens.
Speaking earlier, the State Coordinator of Vote Not Fight, Mrs Uwa Edekor charged the NOA management to release their staffs at the local government level who will partner with FACE Initiative volunteers to disseminate the core mandate of Vote Not Fight to the people.
According to her, the Vote Not Fight Campaign can only trickle down to the grassroots when organization like NOA is partnering with the STC in Edo State.
She however appealed that as an orientation agency with the mandate to reorient the people of Nigeria, Vote Not Fight is ready to partner with them to ensure that the upcoming election is peaceful as possible.
She further explained that FACE Initiative is non partisan and is open to work with all stàkeholders to spread the message to all nooks and crany of Edo State.
The high point of the event was presentation of Vote Not Fight T-shirts to the staff of National Orientation Agency (NOA)
