The Riverine Peace Initiative in Niger Delta has caution those behind the alleged protest against a former Commissioner for Information in Cross River , Mr. Asu Okang as a representative in the NDDC board to desist from such Man inhumanity to Man against their fellow States Man.
Condemning the reasons provided by the Cross River Youth Alliance, the RPIND queried that how many times have any Niger Delta States protested against the Northern Appointees that are drafted into the board? Why would they now be fighting their own Statesman all because he is not from Bakassi and not an alleged member of APC .

The National President of RPIND , Comrade Toluwa Mulade stated this while addressing Newsmen in Asaba, Delta State. He said, instead of the Citizens of Cross River State to celebrate the apolitical nature of President Ahmed Tinubu’s administration that is drafting competent hands to work with him not minding their political parties, they are staging protest that would do the State no good.
Comrade Mulade Toluwa noted that if none of the Niger Delta States have protested against appointment of Northern brothers into the board, then the Cross River Youth Alliance should hide their faces in shame and support their brother for the general good of the State.
He called on the Governor of Cross River Bassey Otu to help educate his Citizens on the need to protect their own as long as they belong to one State and stop looking at party interest etc.
He however commended President Ahmed Bola Tinubu who is drafting competent hands into key positions with the singular aim to salvage the already devastated economy which incompetent party loyalists of President Buhari destroyed.
“Is time to shun the tradition of appointing Party Loyalists who are incompetent and fraudulent . the appointment of a non party Man gives us the assurance that Tinubu is ready to work to salvage the Economy and position the Country in a good light again”
“No group should disturb the President with any Clannish protest, instead we all should support the President good gestures and correct him where he is making mistakes.
