The Riverine Peace Initative in Niger Delta (RPIND) has called on Mr. Asari Dokubor to stop dragging the Ibos as that could lead to tribal war .
The group made this known in a Press Statement signed and made available to newsmen in Asaba ,Delta State stressing that Asari Dokubor’s closeness to President Ahmed Tinubu and the hate speech against Ibos could be misinterpreted by on lookers who may connect it with the Presidency.
According to the statement, the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is working hard to Unify every section of the Country to enable even development across board and should not be distracted by such hate statement.
The Peace group advised that if Asari Dokubor has personal issues with Nnamdi Kanu, he should better deal with it individually and not drag the Country into crisis with his statement.
‘The Peace of this Country is paramount to us Peace Group and as such, we charge Mr. Asari Dokubor to shun all moves and statement that would ignite crisis in any part of the Country. Nigeria has gone through a lot , of recent and is undergoing a healing process and as such, it would not be proper to destabilize the Unity that is gradually taking place.
RPIND noted that the Country is going through a refine process under the President Ahmed Tinubu’s administration which will lead to remarkable transformation in no due time and as such, it would not be proper to paint the New Government in a bad light before the People.
The statement further noted that all well meaning Nigerians should join hands with the new Government led by President Ahmed Tinubu to build the country Nigerians will be proud of in the future.
The Peace Group however called on President Ahmed Tinubu to give appointments to Persons with Integrity and capacity to work and ensure Nigeria ‘s lost glory is restored.
