In the words of our dear people, I say ” hapi yo ye.” This is the Year of our Lord, Two Thousand and Twenty-Six (2026). Indeed, a great year ahead for the self- realisation of our God- given land. This is our year of destiny; our year of self identity; our year of TOTAL denouncement of slavery, servitude, sycophancy and errand-boyism; our year of purposeful politics; our year of self pride and swagger.
This is the year that those clearly identified as IBOS in our land, should move gracefully to the South East to actualise their political dream. We’ll wave them bon voyage as they depart for their fatherland. They have been saboteurs and betrayers openly in our midst. They CANNOT be trusted.
This 2026 is for critical thinking and rationalising events or phenomena. Our people should realise that there is a difference between EAST and WEST, and between SOUTH SOUTH and SOUTH EAST. South South zone and South East zone are NOT interchangeable. States are not created on ground of ethnicity or linguistic affiliation. In fact, no state in Nigeria is homogeneous
This year, our people should stop chasing the shadows, and engage in doing something productive, something self- respecting. Our people should never again be victims of empty promises and sheer propaganda. We should shine our eyes.
From January to June, Nigeria will witness fierce politicking. Our people should participate in such political activities, of course, meaningfully. Our man MUST remain as Deputy Governor, while our son or daughter becomes the Senator representing Delta North. Yes, this is possible. Billboards of professional, perennial political aspirants are already sprouting in some of our towns. We should tell these unserious men and women to stop playing games with us. We are no longer daft. We cannot be fooled again. There are credible men and women, who can represent us in various political arenas. We certainly know them, and they exist among us.
State creation is not Nigeria’s priority,as at now, as many of the existing states are moribund and nonfunctional. As I have repeatedly said, times without number, Anioma state agitation is a fruitless and meaningless venture. I, nevertheless, appreciate the fact that it has been the source of livelihood for a number of jobless men and women, who, unfortunately, will be out of job in 2026. The proposal of Orlu in IMO STATE as the capital of the so-called Anioma state is unconstitutional, illogical, sacrilegious, nonsensical, impractical, outlandish, laughable, senseless, crazy, bizarre and implausible. Believe me, moving a state capital from one city to another, is as difficult and cumbersome as creating a state. Say I said so.
Before the party primaries in about June, the drumbeats for Anioma state would have ceased, and the drummers would have disappeared to obscure places to hide their faces in shame. And it shall come to pass. God bless Ukwuani -Ndosumili land.
