Oba Ewuare 11 has said that his findings on the popularity of the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi is mind blowing.
He disclosed this while welcoming Peter Obi and his supporters to the Palace of Benin Kingdom.
According him, from his findings, he gathered from the young middle age and even the old that Petr Obi seems to be choice of Nigerians.
The reverend King who took his time to clarify certain issues that had been bothering him, asked Peter Obi if it were true he turned down landed properties awarded to him while he was in office?
The Presidential candidate confirmed that the information is very correct as the King further asked him if he is prepared enough to resist the temptations that come qith occupying the number one position?
On his part , Peter Obi answered that he and his Vice President are fully ready to do everything within their reach to ensure that if given the mandate by the people are ready to make Nigerians proud
He however said that contrary to how he he has been described by many as social Media Presidential Candidates, the caliber of supporters voluntarily moving with him has changed the narrative that his popularity is not just on social media but physically on ground.
The highly reverend Monarch further maintained that the Benin Throne remains apolitical as he is father to all, and blesses all w ho seek political positions in the country.
He however stressed that the throne is particularly interested in the one who has the general interest of all Nigerians and who is prepared to make life meaningful for all.
Speaking earlier, the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi disclosed that he and his Vice and supportters were in the Palace to seek for the royal blessing as he embarks on his campaign.
According to him, the forthcoming election would be based on competence and capacity to deliver Nigerians the dividends of democracy.
He said the 2023 election would be devoid of religion and ethnic sentiments, as he charged Nigerians to speak loud through their votes to all Labour Party Candidates.
Speaking also, the Edo State Chairman of Labour Party, Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi described the Peter Obi support base in Edo State as unprecedented which shows the extent Edo People are in tune with the realities in Nigeria
He furthered thanked Edo people for the support and asked them to reflect these support on the ballot box come 2023 general election.
According to him, Peter Obi was given an arousal welcome in Edo North and Edo Central to the point that Otaru of Auchi confirmed it
“In all that we said yesterday, we urged the people to go out there to pick up their PVCs as that is the only way this overwhelming support can be meaningful come 2023 general election.”
“The resolve of the Edo People, come 2023 is that we are bringing in a party that will remove us from the shackles of hardship and put food on our tables.”
