Alenkhe, most honoured NUJ Chairman in Nigeria bags ICON Award

The Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Edo State Council, Comrade Festus Alenkhe has been described as the most honoured in the history of the Union in the Country.

The President of league of Yoruba Youths for Advocacy and Good Governance , Adesina Adediwura stated this while presenting an Icon of Youths Liberation and Human Development Award to Festus at the Union Secretariat in Benin City.

Mr Adesina Adediwura noted that the Award was in recognition of Alenkhe’s numerous contributions to the advancement of Youth liberation and humanity development across Nigeria .

“You are a shining example of leadership and advocacy. Your tireless efforts in championing the cause of Youth Liberation and humanity development is in the Public domain and we are very proud to be associated with you”.

” Your passion and unwavering commitment for the betterment of the Youth and promotion of development has earned you the admiration and respect of many distinguish Nigerians”.

He further described the Chairman as someone whose examplary leadership style has set a high standard for Professionalism and ethical Journalism.

” Comrade Festus Alenkhe’s effort have not only contributed to the development of young people in the Country but have also had a positive influence on the broader Community, inspiring others to join the cause of Youth liberation and humanity development.

Responding, the NUJ Chairman, Festus Alenkhe appreciated the group for finding him worthy of the honour.

He noted that the Award will spur him to do more to the advancement of Youths and development of humanity.

“For me, making a difference in leadership positions is what everyone must aspire if we want Nigeria to change for good. We should remember that we don’t have another country apart from Nigeria”.

“So, I want to profusely express my gratitude to your organization for beaming your touch light on me, and this will go along way to make me to do more in my work. “
