The Managing Director of Edo State Waste Management Board,Dr. Lucky Enehita-Inegbenehi has been honored with 2025 Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (ACNPN) Merit Award for championing clean Edo State.
The Award which was presented during the association’s annual conference in Igbuzor, Asaba, Delta State recently recognises Dr. Inegbenehi’s unwavering commitment in promoting a clean Edo State.
Speaking shortly after the presentation, Dr. Inegbenehi dedicated the Award to Edo State Governor , Senator Monday Okpebholo’ for providing the necessary support for the agency to carry out it’s mandate of serving Edo people.
He noted that he could not have been able to achieve much within a short period of time as Managing Director of Edo State Waste Management Board without the team spirit of the staff who had also displayed commitment and passion in their various assigned duties.
” We are carrying out our mandate as Public Servants, not knowing that the media is watching. Well this Award will spur me to give in my best and ensure that Edo becomes the cleanest in Nigeria .”.
” I further dedicate this Award to God Almighty and my staff who have been very supportive and committed to do their job”.
He appreciated ACNPN for acknowledging his efforts to make Edo clean and reaffirmed his team’s dedication to put more effort in ensuring that the people’s consciousness to keep Edo clean and healthy is sustained now and beyond.
“This award gives us renewed strength to continue our mission,” he said. “We remain committed to the shine agenda of Governor Monday Okpebholo’ in ensuring that Edo People benefit immensely in his government “.
The event attracted community leaders, health practitioners, civil society groups, Politicians, business Men and media professionals who applauded ACNPN for recognizing outstanding Nigerians.
