In a statement issued by his Media Officer, Edoko Wilson Edoko, Enabulele described the decision to site the zonal headquarters in Edo as a major milestone for sports development in the South-South region.
“The establishment of the NIS South-South Zonal Headquarters in Edo is a welcome development that will strengthen our state’s leadership in sports and human capacity development,” he said.
Enabulele also commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for his unwavering commitment to grassroots sports, noting that the achievement reflects the governor’s visionary leadership.
“Governor Okpebholo’s consistent drive and passion for sports development have led to the creation of the South-South Zonal Headquarters in Edo State — a feat that truly deserves celebration,” he added.
The Sports Commission Chairman further acknowledged the role of the NIS Director-General and former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon.
