A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Edo State chapter, Martins Osakue has said the rumour of defection of Dickson Imasogie from the party making the rounds, is a lie from the pit of hell and a figment of the peddlers imagination.
He said this while reacting on behalf of Imasogie in Benin City
Osakue said Imasogie who is a diehard party man has the blood of the party running in his veins and cannot leave it for any other parties.
“The rumors are unfounded, if there is any person who has PDP in his DNA, Dickson Imasogie is the one. His our leader in the south.
“You can see we just came for our usual weekly caucus meeting, leader of Orhionmwon is there, leader of Ovia is there, I am from Oredo, the chairman of Ikpoba Okha is there.
“We normally meet like that on a weekly basis to rob minds on happenings within the PDP.
“lf there are issues we need to solve, where he cannot go, he sends some of us and if we have some issues too, we address them with him.
“But let me say, the rumour going around that says Imasogie is considering leaving the party is a figment of imagination of mischief makers.
“Of course, when you have a colossus like Dickson Imasogie, people must talk.
” You know the political dispensation, people want to discredit him as much as possible but they can’t.
“The long and short is that, there is no oita of truth in it”, Osakue said.
He warned those spreading false information about him to have a rethink and be mindful of what they say about a true party man like Dickson Imasogie.
