The Senator representing Edo South Senatorial District, Senator Neda Imasuen, has called on his constituents to prioritise environmental sanitation as a key step in preventing malaria.

Senator Imasuen made this known in a press statement signed and made available to newsmen in Benin City.

Speaking to mark World Malaria Day, the lawmaker said:
“On this year’s World Malaria Day, I extend my warm regards to the resilient people of Edo South Senatorial District and reaffirm my unwavering commitment to safeguarding your health and wellbeing.
Malaria remains a serious but preventable threat.

“The fight against it begins with deliberate and sustained action at the grassroots level. I urge every household and community to prioritise environmental sanitation and proper hygiene practices.”

“Let us take proactive steps—eliminate stagnant water around our homes, clear blocked drains, and maintain clean surroundings. ”

“These simple but effective measures help destroy the breeding grounds where mosquitoes thrive.
