The Edo State Nigeria Women of Journalists has called for Women’s empowerment as a sure way of building the society .
This was contained In a Press Release signed by the Chairperson of Edo NAWOJ, Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan and made available to newsmen in Benin City in commemoration of International Women’s Day.
The statement emphasised on the theme of this year’s celebration: “Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress” and called on all stakeholders to see the need to invest in Women.
” Women have always been the epitome of strength and resilience, let’s keep encouraging every Woman”.
“When we empower Women, we empowering humanity and creating inclusiveness and equitable World for all”.
The statement further add that Women should be given equal opportunities at workplace.
